Several law schools in the Boston area offer clinical programs to instruct students in the practice of criminal defense.

Working under the supervision of professors, students are certified by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court to represent to indigent juveniles.  Suffolk Lawyers for Justice coordinates with these programs to schedule students for duty periodically throughout the school year.
